Patrick W. McFadden

Patrick W McFadden 76 of Prior Lake MN, passed away on Memorial Day, May 26, 2025, due to a traumatic brain injury sustained from a fall.

Pat was born at St. Barnabas Hospital in Mpls, MN on March 24th, 1949, to Jack & Pearl McFadden. They brought Pat home to PRIOR LAKE where he grew up, played football, went to grade school & graduated high school in 1968. Even causing a little trouble with Bruce Pahl when they rode a motorcycle through the halls of Grainwood school. Pat was a "Prior Lake boy " he never left except for his "Senior Class Trip" to Vietnam (he liked to joke about that).

Pat enlisted in the US ARMY in June of 1968 where he went to Fort Campbell Kentucky then off to Vietnam for 2 tours. Pat was a proud American & Military Man. He was a life member of the Prior Lake VFW post 6208. At one time he was even a firearm instructor as well as sat on the Prior Lake Park & Recs board where he advocated for the construction of Thomas Ryan Memorial Park. Tom Ryan was Pats best friend growing up & fellow comrade who passed away while serving in Vietnam.

Prior Lake is where he met & married Patti (Melville) McFadden on April 27,1978, built a home, had 3 daughters & 1 stepdaughter, along with 8 grandkids. 

Pat worked different places over the years but the longest was "part time" at TJ Hooligans for 45-some-odd years, earning him the nick name "Popcorn Pat". He enjoyed "collecting" coins, autographs, sports memorabilia and watching sports, racing, & history shows. 

Patrick is survived by Patti McFadden. Daughters: Amber Thielbar (Rich) of New Prague, Teresa McFadden (Josh Smith) of Shakopee and Krisann Wiser (Jeff) of Leigh Acres Florida. Grandkids: Jake, Erick, Henry, Julie, Grant, Frank, Jameson, & June. Sisters Linda Madden & Shelly Pool (Ronnie)Sister in law Connie McFadden. Many Nieces, Nephews and even some greats. Many Melville in laws and Godson Russell Melville. 

Preceded in death by: Baby Daughter Katie Marie McFadden, Parents Pearl & Jack McFadden, Brother's Francis, Mike, & John McFadden. In laws Jim Madden, Beatrice & Bernard Melville, Lenny Melville. 

A small graveside service will be held at St Michael's Cemetery in Prior Lake, MN on October 11th, 2025 @ 11:00 am.
