Patricia Elizabeth (Dunn) Stresemann

Patricia Elizabeth (Dunn) Stresemann, age 77, of Shakopee, formerly of Comfrey, passed away on September 22, 2025, at home surrounded by her loving family.

A Christian Funeral will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at 2:00 PM with a Time of Gathering from 12:30 - 1:45 PM at Mount Olivet Lutheran Church (5025 Knox Ave. S.) in Minneapolis.

Patricia was born on July 26, 1948, in Minneapolis to Walter (Bud) and Althea (Davis) Dunn. She graduated from Bloomington Lincoln High School in 1966. In her youth, she enjoyed ballet, concerts, shopping for the latest fashion trends, family vacations, running around the yard with her brothers, and spending time with family and friends.

Pat married the love of her life, Bruce Stresemann of Winthrop, on August 23, 1969 in Edina. They settled down in Mankato, where their first son, Todd, was born. They eventually moved to Comfrey, where they called home for 47 years and made their family complete with son Troy and daughter Staci. She was a wonderful mother and took absolute pride in being a mom. She raised her kids with patience and unwavering love, and made every holiday and birthday special.

Pat worked as a paraprofessional at Comfrey Public School for 25 years, where she touched many lives. She was exceedingly patient with her students, and she loved learning with them. She loved being near water and beaches, sunbathing in the backyard, gardening, bike rides, walks, playing tennis, trips to Dairy Queen, concerts and musicals, listening to music and dancing in the kitchen, going to movies, playing board games, going to her kids’ and grandkids’ sporting events and other activities, and spending time with her family.

She had a gentle and kind demeanor, was soft spoken, patient, truly listened when people spoke, and had a quiet grace about her.

Pat is survived by her devoted husband of 56 years, Bruce Stresemann; her supportive brother, Jim Dunn of Edina; her children whom she cherished, Todd (Deb) Stresemann of Minnetonka, Troy (Laura) Stresemann of Miltona, Staci (Ryan Bakeberg, fiancé) of Shakopee; and grandchildren she adored, Avery (Josh Clausen, fiancé) Garvey, Brinley Garvey, and Cassia Garvey of Shakopee; Enoch and Nathanael Stresemann of Miltona.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter (Bud) and Althea Dunn, and her brother, Robert Dunn.
