Pat Stockman

Patricia Marie (Arenkill) Stockman passed away peacefully on July 28, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease, which she faced with fierce strength, grace, and an unwavering spirit, leaving behind a legacy of vibrant joy, deep love, and community connection.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 29 at 11:00 a.m. with a visitation from 9:30 - 10:45 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 16400 Duluth Avenue SE, Prior Lake. Father Tom Walker will preside. She will be laid to rest at St. Michael's Catholic Cemetery. Mass will be live-streamed through St. Mike's Youtube.

Born on August 29, 1951, Patricia was welcomed into the world by her loving parents, Howard and Mary Agnes Arenkill. As their only daughter, she grew up in Aurora, Illinois, alongside her younger brothers, Brian and Howard Jr. She attended Holy Angels Grade School and Rosary High School before continuing her education at Saint Mary’s of the Plains College in Dodge City, Kansas.

From an early age, Pat was an accomplished athlete. A competitive swimmer who reached the Junior Olympics in the late 1960s, she was truly a woman ahead of her time in women’s sports. She also participated in gymnastics and served as a high school and college cheerleader.

During her freshman year of college, Pat met the love of her life, Bruce. After completing Floral Design School in Chicago, Pat married Bruce on April 8, 1972, at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Aurora. The newlyweds established their first home in Prairie Village, Kansas, where Pat began her career as a floral designer. In 1975, a career advancement for Bruce brought them to Indianapolis, where they welcomed their sons, Justin (1977) and Ryan (1978). A move back to Kansas followed, where five years later, their daughter Heather (1983) completed the family.

Their final move brought the family to Prior Lake, Minnesota, where Pat quickly became an integral part of the community. The original "soccer mom," she never missed a game or event and enthusiastically supported every one of her children’s passions. To better align with her kids’ busy schedules, Pat transitioned from floral design to work as an educational paraprofessional in the Prior Lake School District, where she dedicated over 15 years to supporting students.

Above all else, Pat adored being a mother and, eventually, a grandmother. Her children and grandchildren were her world, and she proudly bragged about them at every opportunity. Known for her fun-spirited, gregarious, and outgoing personality, Pat never let a birthday, holiday, or special moment pass without a grand celebration. She loved dressing up, frequently bringing out costumes, hats, and festive outfits for any occasion. Pat’s true passion was people; her social circle was boundless, and it was nearly impossible to go anywhere without her running into a friend or making a new one. Pat’s warmth, joyful spirit, and unwavering devotion to those she loved will remain forever in the hearts of all who knew her.

Pat is survived by her husband, Bruce Stockman; her son Ryan (Kate) Stockman and their children, Grace and Tommy; her daughter Heather (Lance) Schuer and their children, Hadley and Hudson; and her brothers, Brian (Sue) Arenkill and Howard Jr. (Patty) Arenkill.

She was preceded in death by son, Justin Stockman, and her parents, Howard and Mary Agnes Arenkill.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Pat’s memory to the Parkinson's Foundation Minnesota & Dakotas Chapter.
