Michael Bryant

Sheldon Michael Bryant (Šuŋkhuda Hdéska Máni – Spotted Walking Pony), affectionately known as “Mikey,” age 37, a member of the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community in Shakopee, MN, passed away on August 1, 2026. He was born on September 16, 1988 in Newport Beach, California, to his loving parents Sheldon and Patty.

A Wake will be held from 5:00 - 8:00 PM with Prayer Service at 6:30 PM on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at the Tiowakan Spiritual Center (14625 Prairie Grass Drive NW, Prior Lake, MN). Funeral will be held at 10:00 AM with an additional gathering time from 9:00 - 9:45 AM on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at the Tiowakan Spiritual Center.

Michael will be laid to rest at Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community Cemetery.

Mikey loved to travel, exploring both abroad and throughout the United States. His adventures included trips to Thailand and Amsterdam, among many others, often shared with friends. He cherished spending time at his second home in Palm Springs with family and friends.

Passionate about music, Mikey dedicated time to supporting and producing music with friends, including Mod Sun. He enjoyed watching movies and could quote entire scenes from his favorites. He also had a deep love for listening to audiobooks, finding joy in the stories they shared.

The most cherished person in his life was his beautiful daughter, Aurora, who brought him tremendous joy every day. Being a dad was Mikey’s proudest accomplishment. He loved creating special moments with Aurora, particularly their shared delight in eating ice cream sandwiches together.

Mikey will be remembered for the happiness and smiles he shared with everyone he met.

Mikey is preceded in death by his grandparents, Carl and Alice Bryant, Robbi Bryant, Pat Wilcox and Tony Rausa; aunt, Karin Bryant-Lankin; and uncle, Steve Rausa.

He is survived by his father, Sheldon (Peggy) Bryant; mother, Patty (Mike) Bradley; daughter, Aurora; siblings, Shea, Sean (Kailee), Shyenne, and Cody; as well as many uncles, aunts, and cousins.
