The story of Mary Jane all began on June 19, 1945. Born in Shakopee, MN, she was the youngest of seven children of Paul and Mary (Winkel) Meuwissen. Growing up in Chaska, Mary Jane enjoyed playing the saxophone in school. She grew up with a wonderful close-knit group of friends and enjoyed countless adventures throughout the community. Mary was a student of Chaska High School, graduating with the class of 1963.

Mary Jane began her career working for Honeywell for several years before later working at Theradyne in Jordan. She then spent 30 years working as a secretary at Chaska High School. Throughout her career, Mary was deeply dedicated to serving the youth of the community.

Mary Jane met then later married Thomas Glynn on May 7, 1966. They were excited to become parents; however, Mary Jane and Tom experienced the heartbreaking loss of their firstborn, Wendy at three days old. In the years that followed, they were blessed with two healthy children, Lynda and Jeff. The Glynn family enjoyed spending time together hunting, fishing on the Minnesota River, local lakes and especially at the family cabin on Big Pelican Lake.

Mary Jane experienced loss once again when Tom passed away on August 31, 2004. In time, she reconnected with a high school friend, Michael Mohlin, and they were married on January 20, 2006. As a couple, Mary and Mike loved socializing with family and friends over a cup of coffee. They enjoyed traveling to warmer climates and around the area in search of an ice cream treat.

Mary Jane loved helping in the kitchen at the Vets Club in Belle Plaine. She especially enjoyed baking and was best known for her famous cookies, delicious cupcakes and muffins. In her spare time, Mary Jane liked playing cards and Bingo with her ladies’ group. Mary Jane embraced life to the fullest, and her greatest joy was watching her grandchildren grow up and become amazing adults. That joy grew even more when she became a great grandma.
