Mary L. Hennes

Mary L. Hennes, 85, of Belle Plaine, passed away on May 21, 2025. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held on July 12, 2025 at Our Lady of the Prairie Catholic Church in Belle Plaine (200 E Church St) at 10:30 AM, with burial immediately following the service. Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM. Father Michael Kaluza will preside.

Mary was born Sept. 9, 1939 to George and Virginia Wagener in Belle Plaine.

Mary is survived by her children, Paul Hennes, Mark (Laura) Hennes, Kari (Joe) Peterson, Dean (Lois) Hennes, Suzy Hennes and Glen (Jen) Hennes; 15 grandchildren, David (Morgan) Hennes, Leah Hennes, Noah (Kaitlyn) Hennes, Victoria (Jason) Lee, Samantha (Charlie) LaBoda, John Peterson, Nicholas Peterson, Michaela (Joel) Kristenson, Michael (Melissa) Hennes, Alyssa (Kris) Williquette, Alex (Anna) Hennes, Kelsey Cooper, Josh Hennes, Allison (Ryan) Hennes, Cortney Hennes, and 7 great-grandchildren; siblings George (Annette) Wagener, Jean (Fran) VanKeulen, Rose (Don) Wacker, Ross (Peggy) Wagener, Mark (Terry) Wagener.

Mary was greeted in Heaven by her parents, George and Virginia Wagener; siblings Jerry Wagener, John Wagener, and baby twin boys.
