Lynn A. Webster

Lynn Alan Webster’s first and last breaths were taken at St. Francis Hospital in Shakopee, MN, with stops throughout his life in Eden Prairie, Bloomington, Shakopee and finally Prior Lake. He was born September 25, 1949, to Myron and Beulah (Wilson) Webster. He passed away peacefully on September 7, 2026, surrounded by family at the age of 76. Lynn was one of the good ones, an easy-going guy who genuinely treasured every day, and left behind many smiles and great memories.

After graduating from Shakopee High School in 1967, Lynn served in the Army for two years, stationed primarily in Germany. Upon his return he completed a course in HVAC/Refrigeration, which eventually led to a thirty-plus year career as an installation/service technician in the soft drink beverage industry. He was a proud Teamster Local 792 union member.

Lynn had a bit of a need for speed, which Coni discovered early in the relationship. Their first date consisted of a stop at the local go-cart track and then on to Raceway Park. Lynn also enjoyed building racecars and racing at the Raceway Park Enduros for a few years. After his marriage to Coni (Gronewold) Webster, on September 14, 1985, and the arrival of their daughter Alissa & their son Brett, the actual racing stopped and was replaced by occasional trips to Raceway Park & Elko Speedway, and watching NASCAR races, first every weekend with his dad Myron and later on at home. When anyone would visit the Webster house on weekends during the racing season, you could bet the race would be on, Coni by his side. Some of Lynn’s biggest smiles were seen on a family vacation to the Wisconsin Dells at all the go-cart tracks, and usually right before the words from the bullhorn: “NO BUMPING!” One of Lynn’s greatest joys in life was when he gained the title “Grandpa” to Geo and Leo. When he retired, he and Coni were blessed to be the daycare providers for their two young grandsons, and a special bond was formed with his little boys - which included picking out remote control vehicles for them.

Lynn didn’t have a guy for everything; he was the guy! The saying when the kids were small was, “Dad can fix anything”, and he usually could! He stayed busy in retirement fixing things around the house, or thinking about fixing them, because in his favorite words “tomorrow is another day”. However, he would drop everything to help friends or family in need. He was so kind and good-hearted, treating everyone like a friend, whether he knew you for years or just met you in line at the store. Lynn’s easy-going personality brought calm into the chaos of raising a busy family. He lived life on his own terms. He enjoyed sharing stories over a beer.

Lynn’s loving kindness will be forever missed and remembered by his wife, Coni; his daughter Alissa (Lester) Rivera; son Brett Webster; grandsons Geovany “Geo” and Leonardo “Leo”, and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Beulah and Myron Webster; father-in-law Peter Gronewold; and brother-in-law Mark Petersen.

A Celebration of Lynn’s life will be held Saturday, October 17 from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm at the Spring Lake Township Hall, 20381 Fairlawn Avenue, Prior Lake, MN.
