Linda K. Fahning, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2025, to be with her Savior.

Born on January 10, 1948, in Hopkins, Minnesota, to George and Clara Nelson, Linda was a woman of grace, compassion, and quiet strength.

She graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1966 and later earned a degree as a Medical Secretary. Linda served with dedication and warmth at Methodist Hospital and St. Andrew Lutheran Church. Her care for others extended far beyond her career. She gave her time and heart to many causes including assisting new mothers as a doula, sharing joy with the Red Hatters Society, and remaining devoted to her Church and Bible study groups.

On November 4, 1968, Linda married the love of her life, Rollin Fahning. Together, they shared nearly 57 beautiful years of marriage marked by devotion and faith.

Linda is survived by her loving husband, Rollin; their four children: Scott Fahning (Sandra), Lori McNamara, Brian Fahning (Rebecca), and Mark Fahning (Bonnie); her grandchildren: Jennifer, Joseph (lovingly remembered), Jessica (Charles), Joshua (Maddy), Brady, Kasen, Adam, Ellemae, Alex, Evelyn, and her great-grandchildren; Delphia, Tate, and Theo.

She is also survived by her sisters Wendy Zaborowski and Debbie Uebler (Rick) and is held dear in the hearts of her nieces and nephews as well as extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings Pam and Kent.

Linda found deep joy in nature and spent many summers camping and fishing with her family at the campground she and Rollin co-owned on Lake Miltona. To her grandchildren she was known for her love of birdwatching, her thoughtful handcrafted birthday cards, and her presence at their sports games and swim meets. She enjoyed reading, cheering for Loons Soccer, and listening to her favorite music — especially Jimmy Buffett and Elvis.

Linda’s life was a beautiful reflection of faith, kindness, and generosity. Her legacy of love and selflessness will continue to live on through her family and all the lives she touched.
