LaDonna Cleveland

On November 27, 2025, LaDonna Cleveland left this world on Wings of Love. A Time of Gathering will be held on Saturday, November 15th from 2-5pm at Ballard Sunder Funeral Home in Shakopee (833 Marschall Rd.). Her Celebration of Life will be on Sunday, November 16th at the funeral home beginning at 12noon with an hour of visitation prior.

Born on November 11, 1946 to proud parents Jeanette and William Neuman. Her mother worked decades at the nursing home and had many other side jobs that would shape LaDonna’s future in healthcare. She became a nurse, then promptly upgraded to X-ray technician before acing her Mental Aptitude test and embarking to the corporate world at Sandoz Pharmaceutical Company. She was also the first non-collegiate employee among her peers. Following her time at Sandoz, she moved onto Hollister Medical Products where she joined the first and last All Women's Sales Force in the nation. On January 9, 2009, she retired at the top once again by being in the “President’s Club” for most of her tenure!

Now it was time for her to enjoy life as much as possible, since her hard work as a super worker was done. Now, having some time off, she enjoyed getting her green thumb back into the swing of things. Other hobbies included traveling to see friends and family. Along with her sister Charlene, the two were so good at fishing that the boys were never able to catch anything with them around! LaDonna also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her own children, Hope and Jeff, in Iowa. She belonged to several prayer groups and bible studies. Church was important to LaDonna, so she found the time to attend church and all the festivities they put on. Her friends and family were the lucky ones to have her in their lives and were honored to love her. Rest easy now, until the trumpets sound!

LaDonna was preceded in death by her parents, William and Jeanette; daughter Hope (Iburg) Frederickson, her brother, David Neuman, sister-in-law Jeanne Neuman; and many other aunts, uncles, grandparents and great grandparents. She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Cleveland; life partner Bernie Gearin and his extensive family; grandchildren, Jesse (Caitlyn) Gingrich, Kyle (Tasha) Gingrich, Samantha (Zephania) Leaton; great grandchildren, Layla and Levi Gingrich, Clara and Aela Gingrich, Nasya and Niah Leaton; great great child, Olnya Leaton; and many other loving family and friends.
