JoAnn F. Tousignant

JoAnn Florence Tousignant, age 73, of Prior Lake, MN, passed away in the early morning hours on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, with her husband, Larry at her side, at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Shakopee, MN.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at 2:00 PM, with a time of gathering from 12:00-1:45 PM, all at Ballard-Sunder Funeral & Cremation (4565 Pleasant Street SE) in Prior Lake, MN.

JoAnne was born in St Paul, MN on December 14, 1952, to parents John and Florence (Jick) Schwab.

JoAnne graduated from Cretin-Derham Hall in 1970. She then went on to school at St. Catherine’s College and received her degree in education in 1974, graduating with honors. JoAnn then taught at Prior Lake High School for 7 years before stopping to be at home with her three children.

JoAnn and her husband, Larry, were fortunate to travel to a lot of beautiful places. Their favorite being Coronado Island in San Diego, CA. JoAnn was also an avid runner, completing 13 marathons, including the New York Marathon.

JoAnn was a smart, strong, feisty and very kind and gentle woman. Her biggest goals in life were to be a good wife and mother. JoAnn accomplished these goals beautifully.

JoAnn will be forever remembered by husband, Larry; children, Kelly (Chad) Senesac, Joe (Holly) Tousignant, John (Aleigha) Tousignant; grandchildren, Cole Tousignant, Cameron Tousignant, Jack Tousignant, Shayla Senesac; sister, Mary Ann (Robert) Wetoska; other relatives and friends.

JoAnn is greeted in Heaven by her parents, John and Florence Schwab.
