Jean M. Martin

Jean Marie Baysore Martin, age 79, passed away on April 2, 2026.

She was born on September 13, 1946, and spent the past 23 years living in Prior Lake, where she built a life filled with love, family, and cherished memories.

Jean is survived by her loving children, daughter, Kim (Mike) and son, Matthew, as well as her step-daughter, Peggy. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to her grandsons, Nicholas (Sidney) and Trevor, who brought her immense joy. She is also survived by her sister, Lavonne (Joe); and her niece and nephews, Katie Adams (Matt), Chad Mielke (Courtney), and Mark Baysore (Diane).

Her favorite thing in life was spending time with her family. She especially loved going to the cabin in Wisconsin, where celebrating the Fourth of July together became a treasured tradition. She also enjoyed trips to Duluth, where she loved glass picking along the shore—one of her simple but most cherished pastimes.

Jean had a love for same-day road trips and was always ready to go anywhere and everywhere she could. She especially enjoyed traveling to Sioux Falls, South Dakota, to visit family—and of course, to enjoy her favorite chicken at The Keg.

Jean will be remembered as the most giving, thoughtful, and positive person. Her warm presence, adventurous spirit, and deep love for her family touched everyone who knew her. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures and created lasting memories with those she loved.

She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
