Holly J. Hennen

Holly J. Hennen, age 53, passed away on June 24, 2026 at her home surrounded by family. A Celebration of Life will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Ballard-Sunder Funeral & Cremation (104 1st St W) in Jordan, MN.

Holly was born December 6, 1972 in Red Wing, MN. She grew up and attended school in Cannon Falls, MN, and was a cheerleader in high school. After her graduation, she began working at Lowe’s in the appliance/cabinet department. Later on, she took a job with Miller Milling in New Prague, MN and eventually Ball Pro, where she did Data/Order entry and was able to work from home. She loved being able to be home while working.

During her employment at Lowe’s, Holly first met Joe Hennen. Joe came into the store looking for new kitchen cabinets. Holly greeted him and helped him pick some out and was surprised by what he chose. She designed and laid them out so they looked great and told him that this is how she would do it. She loved the cabinets, and when the day came where they had to be paid for, Holly gave Joe her business card with her cell phone number on the back. Joe and Holly’s love blossomed from there and they were united in marriage on September 9, 2016 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Jordan, MN.

As a couple, Joe and Holly enjoyed small day trips in Minnesota and trips to the family cabin in Wisconsin. They loved to make popcorn and curl up and watch movies. Holly also loved to watch her niece and nephews play sports. She enjoyed reading books, tending to her flowers, and feeding and watching all the birds and different wildlife that would come into the yard. She loved sitting on her patio to relax, and picked up on water coloring, spending hours just painting and having a great time.

Holly was very compassionate to all animals, and she knew what she wanted and wouldn’t take no for an answer.

“You might as well get it done, so you don’t have to do it later.”

Holly will be missed by her loving husband, Joe Hennen; parents, Richard and Pat Morrisey; brother, Joe (Heidi) Morrisey; niece, Olivia Morrisey; nephew, Quinten Morrisey; parents-in-law, Stephen and Joyce Hennen; siblings-in-law, Dana (Carl) Nye, Lisa Hennen (Ron), Angie Hennen, and Rick (Eve) Hennen; nephews-in-law, Henry, Luke, and Peter; and other loving family and friends.

Holly is preceded in death by her grandparents, and brother-in-law, Matt Hennen.
