Gloria June Swenson

Gloria June Swenson (née MacDonald)
Age 96 of Prior Lake passed away peacefully on April 30, 2026, surrounded by her loving family at her side. We find comfort in knowing she is now in the arms of the Lord and reunited with her family who went before her. 
Gloria was an elegant woman, who carried the values of kindness, compassion, and grace throughout her life. She was born and raised in Minneapolis and graduated from Washburn High, class of 1947. She shared 71 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Harley, who preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her parents, George and Thelma MacDonald; sons, Richard and Robert Swenson; and her sister, Jeanne Cooper. Gloria is survived by her loving children, Cynthia Rasmussen, Steven (Shari) Swenson, and David Swenson; grandchildren, Alanna (Greg) Dietz, Brooks (Angela) Swenson, Wes (Sarah) Swenson, Jacob Swenson, Nicole (Randy) Gunderson, Clint (Jenny) Swenson, Kaylee (Jeff) Bryant, Martin Swenson, and Claudia (Nathaniel) Morris; her brother, William (Ginny) MacDonald; and 16 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. 
Gloria will be remembered by her gentle spirit, her deep faith, and her devotion to her family. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished. A private family interment will take place at Fort Snelling National Cemetery with a Service and Celebration of Life to follow at 11:45am June 9, 2026, at McKenna Crossing in Prior Lake.
