Evonne Kipp

Evonne Kipp, age 87, of Savage, MN, passed away on August 28, 2025, at Oak Terrace Senior Living. A Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM, with Time of Gathering from 9:00 AM – 10:45 AM, on Friday, September 5, 2025, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 100 6th St W, Jordan, MN. Evonne will be laid to rest at Spirit Hill Cemetery in Jordan, MN, following the service. Pastor Glowicki will preside over services.

Evonne was born in New Prague, MN, and raised in Jordan, MN. She attended St . Paul’s Lutheran church in Jordan her entire life. She was baptized April 3, 1938 and confirmed on May 4, 1952. She met her husband Roman at a car repair shop, where Roman worked. He insisted they take the car for a test drive to make sure the repair went well. They clicked on that ride and he asked her on a date when they were back at the shop. They were married on July 11, 1958 and together moved to Savage, MN, in 1963 where she resided till just a few months ago.

She worked as a chemist at Cargill for 30 years, focusing on quality control for grain, and she took great pride in her work. Evonne was skilled with a sewing machine and made most of her own clothes. She was known for mending clothing for anyone who asked. Evonne enjoyed gardening, riding motorcycles with Roman, and spending time with her neighbors, where she was a steady presence. The neighborhood children often spent time with Evonne, and she cared deeply for them. Up until the very end, Evonne maintained close relationships with her beloved neighbors and family.

She will be remembered for her tender heart and caring nature.
