Errol G. Thomas passed away August 15, 2026.
Private services will be held, and Errol will be laid to rest with military honors at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN.
Errol George Thomas was born on December 29, 1960, in Benbow, Jamaica, where he grew up alongside his siblings, Randolph Lee, Byron Steele, Loren Thomas, Claudia Braghine, Raina Williams, and Joan Coleman.
Errol later moved to New Jersey, where he attended Burlington City High School. During his high school years, he enjoyed playing soccer and the keeping rhythm on the drums. It was also during this time that he met the love of his life, Paulette.
After graduating from high school, Errol proudly entered the United States Army in 1982. He was a proud veteran and often enjoyed sharing stories and memories from his time in the service.
Following his military service, Errol and Paulette returned to Jamaica, where they were married in 1987. Together, they built a loving life and family in the United States. As a couple, they enjoyed watching movies, spending time at the lake, and playing board games.
Errol and Paulette created a wonderful childhood for their two children, Errol and NickCole. Family was deeply important to Errol, and he cherished the time they spent together. Some of their favorite family memories included fishing, playing board games, visiting the Minnesota State Fair and taking trips to the Mall of America. Their family grew even more with the arrival of their beloved grandson, Kayden Thomas, who brought them great joy.
Errol had a love for music, along with playing the drums, one could find him listening and even singing along to his favorite artists, Dennis Brown and Bob Marley. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, watching crime shows, and horror movies. After gatherings with family and friends, Errol also appreciated having quiet time to himself, where he could relax and enjoy his peace.
Those who knew Errol will remember him as compassionate, hardworking, fun-loving, and deeply caring. He lived by the simple words of wisdom: “Treat others the way you want to be treated, and don’t get yourself in trouble.”
