Elizabeth "Bette" La Regina Heston

Elizabeth "Bette" La Regina Heston, age 85, passed away on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at McKenna Crossing in Prior Lake, MN, after a long, determined fight against Parkinson's Disease and dementia.

A memorial service will be held honoring Bette on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at 12:30 pm, with a time of gathering from 11:30 am - 12:30 pm, at Ridges at Sand Creek Golf Course, 21775 Ridges Dr, Jordan, MN. Pastor Diana Hunstad will preside.

Born and raised in Mount Kisco, New York, Bette graced this world on July 14, 1940, to Dominick and Concetta (Lattanzi) LaRegina. She was a graduate of Fox Lane High School and Keystone College. Life for Bette was enriched by marrying Edgar “Ted” Beardslee Heston on April 4, 1964, in Mount Kisco, New York. From this union they were blessed with two sons, Bill and Ed.

Bette had many interests and passions. An avid birder, she took many trips around the country, adding to her life list. Medicine was another of her interests as she worked in the surgery department at Delnor Hospital in Geneva, Illinois, for a number of years. Bette also loved delving into ancestry and took several trips with her husband Ted to Italy in search of family connections.

Upon the retirement of Ted, they moved to Jordan, Minnesota to be closer to family, which was most important to Bette. She loved and treasured the family gatherings and vacations throughout the years.

Bette had a beautiful smile, fabulous wit and will be missed deeply by her husband of 61 years, Ted; sons, Bill Heston, Ed (Christine) Heston; grandsons, Dominick Heston, William Heston; brothers, Bob (Debbie) LaRegina, Lou LaRegina; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

Greeting Bette home in Heaven is her daughter-in-law, Greer Heston and parents, Dominick and Concetta LaRegina.
