Edith Elaine Meyer

In loving memory of Edith Elaine (Larson) Meyer

Edith was born on November 26, 1928, in Lake Crystal, MN to Ida and Louis Larson. She grew up on a farm and often remembered those early years as a happy and carefree childhood filled with family, hard work, and simple joys.

After graduating from high school, Edith attended beauty school and soon moved to Belle Plaine, MN. It was there that she met the love of her life Donald Meyer. They married on June 30, 1948, beginning a lifelong partnership built on love, devotion, and family. Together they were blessed with four children: Cheryl, Steven, Janine, and Duane.

Early in their marriage, Edith and Don lived in Jordan, MN, and later moved to different communities as Don's work took them to new places. While living in New Hope, MN Edith worked for Braun Fashion Store. Wherever life took them, Edith created a warm and welcoming home for her family.

Later in life, after they retired, the two moved to Sauk Rapids, MN and eventually to Waite Park, MN where they enjoyed their retirement years together.

Edith had a deep love for her family and treasured the time she spent with them. She was known as an excellent cook/baker and took great joy in preparing meals and gathering everyone around the table. In quieter moments, she enjoyed working on crossword puzzles, reading, and playing cards with friends and family. These simple pleasures brought her happiness throughout her life.

More than anything, Edith was a kind and loving woman whose presence made others feel comfortable and cared for. Her faith was very important to her, and she took comfort in knowing that one day she would be in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

She passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones on March 9, 2026.

Edith is lovingly remembered by her children: Cheryl (Tom) Blumberg, Steven (Patrice) Meyer, Janine (Rex) Cutchall, and Duane (Arleen) Meyer; her grandchildren: Tami Schumacher, Tracy Blumberg, Tara Uytengsu, Jessica Charpentier-Hatchell, Jennifer Meyer, Melissa Steckley, Michelle Meyer, Erika Montes, and Hannah Trent; along with many great grandchildren, who brought her so much joy.

She was preceded in death by her husband Donald; grandson Brian Cutchall; her sisters: Myra, Ima, Margaret, Norma; and brothers: Ray, Alvin, and Loren.

Edith will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her love of family, and the many memories she created with those she loved. She will be deeply missed, but her love will remain in the hearts of her family forever.

A private burial will take place at Spirit Hill Cemetery in Jordan, MN.
