Doug Fiihr

Doug Fiihr was born in Brookings, SD on June 13th, 1956. He was raised in the town of Bruce, SD on the family cattle farm. He and his 6 siblings helped out on the farm as much as they were able to. Doug attended Sioux Valley High School and was a part of the football team and had many 4-H projects. His time on the farm taught him the value in hard work and how to fix just about anything that had a motor.

After moving to MN, Doug worked at Lions Food Company with 2 of his brothers before settling into his longtime job at the Bungie Grain Elevator. He gave 40 years of service to the company and finished his working career at Metro Transit in Shakopee before retiring.

To relax, Doug loved spending time outdoors and with his family. He loved to go fishing, camping, and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. If he wasn’t on his bike, he was most likely working on it or one of his other vehicles.

A hardworking and compassionate man, Doug will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
