Dawn Eileen Durbin

Dawn Eileen Durbin, 71, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family and friends.

Born on January 24, 1954, in Detroit, MI to Bob and Barbara Metz, loved by her sisters Jill and Robyn and brother Bob.

Dawn devoted her life to caring for others—both personally and professionally. For over 50 years, she dedicated herself to her work as a dental hygienist, bringing skill, compassion, and kindness to every patient she met.

Dawn was the beloved wife of Larry Durbin, cherished mother of Lawrence Matthew and Rebecca, and a devoted grandmother to six wonderful grandchildren who brought her endless joy.

Outside of her career, Dawn found happiness in life’s simple and meaningful moments—walking, reading, traveling, and spending time with the family and friends she treasured so deeply. Dawn would never miss an opportunity to spend time with her grandchildren. Her warmth, humor, and generosity of spirit will be remembered by all who were lucky enough to know her.

A Celebration of Life will be held on January 24, 2025, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at The Horse and Hunt Club located at 2920 220th St E. Prior Lake, MN 55372. Family and friends are invited to join in honoring and remembering Dawn’s beautiful life.

Dawn’s life was defined by love, laughter, and compassion. She gave selflessly, smiled easily, and found joy in every connection she made. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit lives on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
