Cynthia Lee Hardtke, fondly known as Cyndy, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Methodist Hospital in Rochester, MN on May 22, 2025, at the age of 66. Born on December 29, 1958, in Winnipeg, MB, Canada to Bert and Joan Aikens. Cyndy lived a life marked by warmth, resilience, and an unwavering passion for her family and community.
Cyndy was a devoted mother and wife, whose proudest accomplishments were her children. Always eager to share stories and achievements of her beloved family, she leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her home, as she found joy in working with the children at Harriet Bishop Elementary, where her influence and kindness were felt by many.
Cyndy was known for her warm-hearted nature and strong-willed determination. Her resilience in the face of life’s challenge was an inspiration to all who knew her. She was a reliable presence in the lives of her loved ones, always ready to offer support, often going to great lengths to ensure others’ well-being. To Know Cyndy was to experience her boundless compassion and the genuine warmth she offered to everyone in her life.
Cyndy is survived by her parents Bert and Joan Aikens, her loving husband of 43 years, Warren, her children; Drew (Mckenzie) Hardtke, Theran (Amber) Hardtke, Torie Hardtke, Madolyn ‘Maddie’ Hardtke (fiancé Andrew Schultz), her grandchildren, Aria, Noah, Cora, and Luka Hardtke, her brothers; Bruce (Paula) Aikens, Jeff (Nancy) Aikens, and Mike (Hope) Aikens, along with many nieces and nephews.
