Chad David Adamek was born to Kevin & Marlene (Link) Adamek on July 22, 1977. He was the oldest of five children and always looked out for his younger siblings, Stacie, Cory, Tyler & Tanner. He grew up in Jordan, where he spent his childhood doing what he loved most—playing in the creek, riding his bike all over town and building strong, lifelong friendships. He was active in football, wrestling, and baseball during his school years. Chad graduated from JHS in 1995. He went on to study masonry at Hennepin County Technical College and later earned his associate degree in business from Rasmussen College. He also continued his education at St. Mary’s years later.

Chad’s greatest pride and joy was always his family. He started dating the love of his life, Mandy Johnson, when they were just kids in fifth grade. They married on August 29, 1998. They bought a house in Lydia in 1997 and later built a home in Jordan in 2004 where they raised their three amazing children, Logan, Emma and Mason, who meant everything to him. Chad was such a proud dad and later found his greatest happiness in becoming a grandpa to Beckham — a role he cherished deeply.

He was a dedicated and incredibly hardworking provider. Over the years, Chad worked at NAPA, where he stepped up to run the store after his dad’s heart attack, and later worked at Jeff Belzer’s in Lakeville selling cars. He built a successful career in sales, eventually becoming a National Account Manager, a role he was especially proud of because of the determination and effort it took to achieve. In 2020, he poured his energy and passion into The Furington, transforming two buildings into a successful dog boarding and training business that gave him a chance to pursue his love for dogs and entrepreneurship. The Furington received Minnesota’s Best Doggy Daycare awards for multiple years within the five years it has been open. Chad also enjoyed breeding Labrador retrievers for over 20 years.

Chad lived life fully and made sure those around him did too. He coached his kids’ football, baseball, and softball teams, always motivating and encouraging the kids he worked with. He loved outdoor adventures — ice fishing, bow hunting, pheasant and turkey hunting, elk hunting, snowmobiling, dirt biking, and riding his Harleys. He created countless family memories through water sports, teaching his kids to water ski and wake surf. He and Mandy took several week-long side-by-side trips across Colorado, South Dakota, Wisconsin, West Virginia, and beyond with Cory & Ashley and Sean & Amber. He also loved deep-sea fishing while on vacation. Some of his best fishing trips were with the McGraw family and their boat crew in Cabo and The Bahamas.

Chad was always the life of the party and fun followed him everywhere he went. This was especially true in his role as the “FUNcle” to his nieces and nephews, always ready with a joke, a surprise, or an activity that felt like it came straight out of a game show. He loved spoiling the people he cared about and was incredibly generous with his time, energy, and heart. He was known for being able to fix or build almost anything, usually with a little help from YouTube. Whether he was building chicken coops, working with his bobcat or tractor, or playing pickleball, Chad was always busy, always helping, and always making life more fun for others.

Chad struggled with mental health challenges for more than 20 years. Despite his strength, dedication, and deep love for his family, he ultimately lost that battle. His family hopes his story reminds others that mental health struggles are real, that no one is alone, and that seeking help is important and brave. The Adamek family saw all the good in Chad and supported him through every struggle in life. The love Chad received from his family was unconditional.

Chad’s life came to an end much too soon, but his family takes comfort knowing he is now at peace in Heaven. He will be remembered for his humor, his enormous heart, his work ethic, and the fierce love he had for his family and friends. His legacy lives on in the countless memories he created, the lessons he taught, and the deep love he shared with everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Chad is survived by his wife, Amanda Adamek; children, Logan (Kayla) Adamek, Emma (Aiden Ladd) Adamek and Mason Adamek; grandchildren, Beckham Adamek; Baby Ladd (due in August) and Baby Adamek (due in September); siblings, Stacie (Chris) Theis, Cory (Ashley) Adamek, Tyler (Samantha) Adamek, Tanner (Stephanie) Adamek; many nieces and nephews; other loving relatives and many dear friends. Chad was greeted in Heaven by his parents, Kevin and Marlene Adamek; niece, Abigail Adamek and nephew, Andrew Johnson, Jr..
