Catherine Bernice Volkmann

Catherine Bernice Volkmann, 77, of Jordan Minnesota died peacefully on June 5, 2025 at her home. A funeral service is set for Saturday, June 28th, 2025 (10:00 AM visitation and 11:00 AM service) at Hope Lutheran Church in Jordan. Lunch will be served after the service.

Catherine was born to Abner and Mabel Hauge on May 9, 1948 in Melrose, Minnesota. Catherine enjoyed watching sports, sewing, crafting, tending to her roses, playing cards and spending time with her family.

Catherine is survived by her daughters, Tammy (Steve) O'Malley of Faribault, Susan Markegard of Jordan, Malinda (Mark) Cardenas of Blaine; her stepson, Mike Chismar of Colorado; and her sister, Ann Ingles of Le Sueur. She is also survived by grandchildren, Nicole Casey of St. Paul, Cody (Julie) O'Malley of Faribault, Stephanie Cardenas of New Brighton, Kayla (Jeremy Pastir) Cardenas of Brooklyn Center, Kennedy Chismar of Colorado; and great-grandchildren Hunter and Hadley O'Malley, and Joseph Grace. Catherine is also survived by her beloved dog, Ethel.

Catherine is preceded in death by her parents Abner and Mabel Hauge; husband, Dennis Volkmann; daughter, Barbara Markegard; brother in-law, Alvin Volkmann; sister-in-law, Irene Gades; and sister-in-law, Donna Mertz.
