Carolyn Ann Taddei

Carolyn Taddei, age 71, of Dallas, TX, formerly of Jordan, MN passed away on July 17, 2025.

Carolyn was born on October 12, 1953 to Geno and Hildegarde Taddei. Carolyn graduated from Jordan HS and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Economics and Mathematics from Mankato State University College.

Carolyn entered the business world as a coordinator for the computer cooperative TIES and worked for the Prior Lake and Buffalo, MN school systems. After moving to the DC area, Carolyn supervised data for the Super TV Corp. Returning to MPLS, Carolyn was involved in the Speed > S Company and worked for General Mills, receiving the Chairman’s Award.

Carolyn always had an interest in sports. Her enthusiasm was contagious. She was active in cheerleading in High School and later at Mankato State College – a great way to attend sporting events. Carolyn was an outstanding female athlete in her high school class. Carolyn participated in gymnastics on the uneven bars and won the district competition on the vault. Carolyn later organized the Women’s “Hub” summer softball team. A good time was had by all, especially Hildegarde, the Hub’s Softball sponsor.

Carolyn had that “high energy” personality. She gave her max whether playing the clarinet, acting in High School plays (winning the Best Thespian award), or organizing social events for PHI GAMMA BETA Sorority at Mankato State. Carolyn also organized a group of friends called the “Humphrey Girls” while working for the election of Senator Hubert Humphrey. Everyone had a great time.

Carolyn spent her last years in Dallas, TX. Yet she kept her MN ties, calling every holiday and special event. She will be greatly missed.

Carolyn is survived by her children, Ashton and Thomas Forbes; grandson, Mateo Forbes; siblings, Margo Taddei, Marlene (Rick) Vanasek, and Geno (Mary) Taddei.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Geno and Hildegarde Taddei; sisters, Ione Rice and Marlys Sorensen; and brothers, Jim and Peter Taddei.
