Buford "Bo" Charles Newbour

Buford “Bo” Newbour, age 35, of Prior Lake, MN, unexpectedly passed away on July 5th, 2025. A celebration of life for Bo will be held Friday, July 25th, 2025, from 1:00PM – 3:00PM at Ballard-Sunder Funeral Home in Prior Lake, MN.

Bo was born in St. Paul, MN on August 31, 1989, to Buford and Mary (Johnson) Newbour. He spent his childhood in Prior Lake – enjoying playing traveling soccer, boy scouts, and fishing in the creek. He loved traveling with his family back to Michigan, and countless road trips around the United States. Bo also loved different activities, like motocross, snowmobiling and most recently – hiking. Bo worked for various companies throughout his life, mainly in construction and house framing. Though, his favorite job was working with his mother at Advantage Sales & Marketing for many years.

In 2018, he was blessed with a beautiful son, Bentley, who quickly became his whole world. The day that Bentley was born, Bo was a nervous wreck, pacing all over the hospital room. The moment Bo heard his son’s first cries, he had the biggest smile on his face, and it never left. Bo brought him down to the creek to fish as soon as he could. Some of the best summer memories were made fishing with his son, playing at the park, swimming, or going on any random adventure they could find. As long as Bo and Bentley were outside, neither of them cared what they were doing, so long as they were together.

Half of Bo will always be with us as his memory lives on with Bentley.

Bo will be missed by his son, Bentley Newbour (Ashley Miller); Father, Buford (Mary) Newbour; Sister, Stefani (Alex) Fischels; Niece and Nephew, Tegan and Jacky Fischels and many other family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Johnson Newbour; Grandparents, Faye and Bo Johnson; Grandparents, Harlen and Ione (Olson) Johnson.
