Anne L. Beckman age 90, of Jordan, MN passed away peacefully on July 24, 2026.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026 at 11:00 AM with a Time of Gathering from 9:30 AM - 10:45 AM at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 16400 Duluth Avenue SE, Prior Lake, MN. Anne Louise Beckman, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, was born on January 12, 1936, in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, to Clarence and Hortense Dufek. She was the second oldest of fifteen children. After moving several times throughout her childhood as her father pursued business opportunities, Anne graduated from Jordan High School in Jordan, Minnesota, in 1954.

While living in Jordan, Anne met the love of her life, Harold Beckman. The two married in 1954 and shared 67 wonderful years together, building a life rooted in love, faith, hard work, and devotion to family.

Anne and Harold were blessed with seven children - four sons and three daughters - all born by the time Anne was just 25 years old. She devoted herself to being a loving wife and homemaker, creating a home filled with warmth, kindness, and unconditional love.

Her greatest joy was her family. She was a proud grandmother to 17 grandchildren and a cherished great-grandmother to 12 great-grandchildren.

Throughout her life, Anne worked in various jobs, including as a waitress, residential home cleaner, electrician, cashier, and supervisor. No matter where she worked, she was known for her strong work ethic and caring spirit.

Anne had a deep love for the simple joys of life. She took great pride in keeping a spotless home, tending her meticulously cared-for flower and vegetable gardens, preserving the harvest through canning, and filling her home with the aroma of freshly baked bread and treats. She lovingly shared homemade cookies, knitted and crocheted thoughtful gifts for family and friends, and welcomed everyone into her home with open arms. She also treasured traveling with Harold, spending countless hours playing cards with family and friends, trying her luck at bingo, and enjoying fun outings together at the local casino.

After retirement, Anne and Harold spent more than 25 wonderful years at Lake Mille Lacs in Garrison, MN where they created not only a home but a treasured gathering place for their growing family. Their lake home became the heart of countless family memories, welcoming children, grandchildren, and friends for weekends together, annual tent-outs, laughter around the campfire, fishing, boating, and time spent enjoying one another’s company. Preparing for and celebrating “Christmas at the Lake” with the family was something Anne looked forward to throughout the year. Anne also quickly became friends with everyone she met around the lake, making each visitor feel like family. She also became very involved with volunteering at the church she attended in Garrison where she served on several councils, was a communion minister, lector, and generously gave her time serving funeral luncheons.

Later, Anne and Harold returned to the Twin Cities, where they cherished spending time with their children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family and friends.

Anne will be remembered for her generous heart, welcoming smile, unwavering love for her family, and the countless acts of kindness that touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. Whether she was tending gardens, canning the summer harvest, baking cookies, knitting gifts, playing cards, calling “Bingo!”, enjoying a trip to the local casino, or welcoming loved ones to Lake Mille Lacs, Anne found her greatest happiness in bringing people together. Her legacy lives on in the family she loved so deeply and in the countless memories they will forever cherish.

Preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Hortense Dufek; husband, Harold Beckman; daughter, Mary Jo Beckman; and siblings, Don, Paul, Jim, John, Bill and Dennis.

Anne will be forever missed by her children, Nancy (Kai) Hammer, Mark (Robin) Beckman, Jeanne (Mark) Fuhrman, Ken (Molly) Beckman, Jon (Wendy) Beckman, and Mike Beckman. Anne will also be deeply missed by her devoted nephew whom she loved like a son, Ron (Pam) Beckman, and her great-nephews, Alex, Steve, and Nate Beckman. Grandchildren, Emily Swayne, Melissa (Jay) Bongard, Amy (Brian) Gregoire, Paul (Kelsey) Beckman, Ana Beckman, John Fuhrman, Angie (Cory) Ross, Abby Beckman, Megan Schoephoerster, Alexandra (Joe) Kelly, Amanda Beckman, Danny Beckman, Molly Beckman, Jordan (Celeste) Beckman, Cortney (Alex) Evert, Carson (Maggie) Beckman, Sydney Beckman. Great-grandchildren, Logan Forrest, Carter Gregoire, Drew Gregoire, Poppy Beckman, Benny Beckman, Hadley Fuhrman, Lucas Fuhrman, Noah Ross, Landon Ross, Banks Kelly, Quinn Kelly, Kinsley Evert. Her siblings, Ellie, Bob, Jean, Dick, Mary, Donna, Barb, Tom. Many other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

The Beckman family wishes to extend their sincere thanks and gratitude to Apple Valley Village Healthcare Center and Grace Hospice who provided loving comfort and care for Anne during her final earthly journey.
