Sheri & Family:
Mike, an extremely talented engineer with a wry sense of humor….oh, how he made me laugh! And I knew, from the time I started with Wunderlich, that Mike was someone I could count on to “get er’ done” no matter what needed to be accomplished…I (we) will miss him dearly! Hugs and prayers.
So very sorry for your loss – Such a terrible reminder that life’s short – Enjoy it while you can – I worked with Mike on several projects while at WME – He taught a lot about the business that we were in –
WORKED WITH MIKE FOR THE LAST 10 YEARS HERE AT AQUA DULCE,TX COMPRESSOR STATION, NEVER A DULL MOMENT.
I had the pleasure of working with Mike the last two years at WME. Amazing man, such a fire for his work and life. He joyfully wanted to spread his knowledge to his teammates and the younger generation. There was no task to difficult for him to take on, and he always did so with enthusiasm and confidence . My condolences to the family.
He will be greatly missed.
Mike was a great co-worker and an expert with electrical.
Mike and I always joked on who would have the most time logged in a year, this has gone on for near to 27 years. Then we would always comment on the spelling of our wife’s name as mine is spelled Sherri and always had a good laugh. We always held up the back row at the new office but always kept in touch. He will be definitely missed and we are so sorry for you and the family in this time.
Sincerely, Mike Slobodnik
So sorry for your loss. I was a vendor (Van Meter) to Mike at WME. He always made me laugh and was a great engineer.
To Mike’s family – my deepest, most heartfelt condolences.
Though I have not worked on many projects with Mike directly, I have had the honor of calling him my colleague for 15 years. Most of my conversations with Mike started and ended with at least a chuckle, always smiling and truly enjoying his way through everything.
He will be truly missed, and again I am so sorry for your loss.

Mike is regarded as one of the smartest people in his field of work. He will greatly be missed at Nextera Energy, where he made an impact in the lives of many colleagues by sharing his knowledge, coaching others and making everyone laugh with his quirky humor, and personality second to none.

Sending thoughts to you, Sheri and family. Although we haven’t worked together for 12 years, I still look back fondly on all the projects that Mike and I got to do together. I consider him one of the top 3 engineers I’ve ever worked with in nearly 30 years on the job. We figured out some pretty challenging stuff together, and had a lot of laughs. Best radio guy you could hope for; he taught me a lot. I hardly ever saw him sitting still. He will be greatly missed.
I had the pleasure of getting to know Mike over the past year through his work at WME. Mike is a brilliant engineer and a very likable person to spend time with. His humor and intelligence will be greatly missed.

Sorry for your loss. I was lucky enough to get to work with Mike on a project in 2022. Extremely intelligent and a great guy! He will be missed.
Sheri & Family:
I am so sorry for your loss. It was nice to see you all Monday morning and share some stories about Mike. I have been a co-worker and friend of Mike for all of his 25+ years at WME. There are so many ways that Mike went above and beyond at work and I was glad to get to pass on some of those stories first hand. His personal CNC fabrication of our laptop brackets literally saved our cubicle setup! He came with tools in hand when we expanded our fabrication shop, moved our accounting files, and installed our industrial CNC machine. Mike designed and wired our 3 staging rooms, with raceway, din rail and receptacles. These rooms are a highlight for customer tours! These contributions are on top of the vast large project work he did for our customers. Over his career Mike led very large projects and gained an incredible amount of knowledge about the entire process of natural gas transmission, making Mike invaluable to WM/customers. Mike always brought energy to a room and found ways through humor to lighten the mood if projects were difficult. His post it pack that you showed me with Whiskey Tango Foxtrot on top is classic Mike humor. It is an honor for me to have known and worked with Mike for many years, and I will miss Mike’s humor and passion every day.
I had the pleasure of working with Mike, and every interaction with him was a delight. His engineering skills and sense of humor were just some of the things that made him a valuable colleague. My heart goes out to the Timmerman family during this difficult time, and I offer my deepest condolences.
Sheri – Cindy and I are so very sorry for your loss. Mike was one of the greatest guys I every had the pleasure of working with. From the early days at DSI to the end of my career at WME, I looked forward to interacting with Mike and respected his intellect, experience, and humor. He is gone too soon and will be missed by everyone. Our hearts go out to you and your family.
