Michael Gene Mullenmeister, 63, passed away at his home, Thursday, October 27, 2011, after a long battle with cancer.

Mike was born on August 6, 1948 to Paul and Mary (Steppan) Mullenmeister in Faribault, MN. He attended Faribault Area Vocational School where he met and later married Janet Marie Callahan on August 30, 1969. He worked in a variety of different jobs including an auto mechanic, an employee for Action Door Installation, and for the past 20 years was employed with Metropolitan Waste Control Commission.

He was an avid outdoorsman with a passion for fishing, deer and pheasant hunting. He enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and grandchildren.

Mike was loved and will be deeply missed his wife, Jan; children, Steve (Andrea) Mullenmeister of Prior Lake, Scott (Melanie) Mullenmeister of Mitchell, SD; grandchildren, Mia and Sam Mullennmeister, siblings; MaryKay (Dave) Velishek of Prior Lake, Paul (Mary) Mullenmeister of Northfield, Joan (Cyril) Miller of Le Center, John (Pat) Mullenmeister of Prior Lake, sister in law, Betty (Wally) David of Faribault; and many other nieces, nephews, and friends.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Mary (Steppan) Mullenmeister and his brother, Art Mullennmeister.

Visitation will be Sunday October 30, from 4:00-8:00 pm at the Church of St. Michael, Prior Lake and Monday October 31, from 10:00-11:00 am at the Church of St. Michael. Mass of Christian Burial will Monday 11:00 am at the Church of St. Michael. Father Tom Sieg will officiate. Mike will be laid to rest at Credit River Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Tim Velishek, Dan Mullenmeister, Erick Mullenmeister, Mark Mullenmeister, Jeff Mullenmeister, Mike Busch, Dan Hanzel, Luke Hanzel, Josh Hennen
