On August 27, 1952 in Minneapolis, MN, Michael was born to parents David D and Joan L. (Sullivan) Hart.  He was the oldest of six children. Most of Michael’s childhood years were spent growing up in Olivia, MN. He enjoyed getting his allowance on Fridays, hopping on his bike to go buy special items and treats at the local establishments. As a family, they spent most weekends exploring and camping at just about every state park in Minnesota and South Dakota. They also enjoyed many trips visiting cousins in Pine River, MN. Attending grade school in Olivia, Michael’s dad was transferred to St, Cloud, where he attended school freshman through junior year. Transferred again, Michael graduated from Shakopee High School in 1971. Attending vo-tech for a few years, Michael spent over 25 years working for Gedney Pickle Factory in Chaska, MN. While throwing darts at the Jabberwocky Bar in Shakopee, Kathleen Faye Bossert had her eyes set on Michael. On March, 23, 1979 in Minneapolis, MN, they exchanged wedding vows. They settled down for a few years in Shakopee and later to New Prague, but spent over 25 years living in Jordan, MN. With a love for the outdoors, Michael enjoyed fishing, especially at Cedar Lake, O’Dowds Lake, Mille Lacs and Leech Lake. He also loved to deer hunt up north with his family. In Michael’s spare time, he enjoyed grabbing a hold of the handles of an A.T.V. and in the last year was excited learning to play the electric keyboard. A Prayer for Mike
Father God in Heaven, we are grieving the loss of Mike, and yet we know that the celebration in Heaven is one of epic proportion. Even so, I do want to pause now and ask for Strength and Peace for all of the family.

Mike is my oldest cousin. Most of my remembrances are from when we were kids and I have to say Mike always made me smile and laugh. In fact, the entire Hart family we always loved to visit because fun was always the result. Mike was also blessed with a gift that I believe always shined through and that is he had a great heart of sincerity. I have many messages from him over the last few years and all are from his heart.

I pray that as we grieve we also acknowledge that Mike is not grieving. He is celebrating with very close family members, even my own Dad. That realization gives me much comfort in knowing that his life is continuing to be one of laughter and fun, especially now, with those who have welcomed him home with open arms.

Mike, celebrate with God, and family. Let the laughter echo the halls of Heaven and while your at it, tell all our family we love and miss them.

See you later Mike … Amen and Amen
