Matthew Thomas Greenwood, age 43, of Prior Lake, MN, passed November 11, 2018, after a lengthy illness.
Matt was born on October 24, 1975, in Golden Valley, MN to Thomas and Gail (Hillmer) Greenwood. He graduated from Pittsburg High School in 1994 and from the University of Kansas in 1999 with a Computer Engineer Degree. Matt spent most of his career at GMAC in Minnesota.
Matt was a great sports spectator of sports of the Minnesota Twins and Gophers, but especially for the Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas Jay Hawks. He enjoyed dappling in golf, reading and fishing at the cabin.
Matt lived a simple life. Through his 23-year illness, Matt was very courageous, yet very independent! Most of all, he was faith filled and extremely humble and kind!
Loved and missed by parents, Tom and Gail Greenwood; brother, Brett (Rachel) Greenwood, their daughter, Avery and soon to be baby boy; other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be Thursday, Nov. 15, at 11 am, with visitation one-hour prior at River Valley Church 1350 Crossing Blvd, Shakopee, MN. Memorials are preferred.

So very sorry. I will always picture Matt’s smile from the different classes we had together and always positive attitude, kind words. My deepest sympathies for the Greenwood family.
My heartfelt sympathies go out to the family and friends. May you find some comfort in the promise found in Revelation 21: 3-4 and 1 Thessalonians 4:14. Knowing that there is an opportunity to be reunited with loved ones.
