At the age of 61, Marge Feldman, unexpectedly passed away from a serious infection on Friday, January 5, 2018, surrounded by her loving family at Fairview Ridges Hospital, Burnsville, MN. Marge was a lifelong resident of the community of Prior Lake.

On the fall day of September 24, 1956 in New Prague, MN, Margaret Mary was born the second of seven children to Albert J. and Rita A. (Malecha) Feldman. Growing on the family farm, in rural Credit River, provided her with a strong character foundation. Marge learned the core values of giving of oneself, and of your time, talents, and treasures. She was hardworking, dedicated, and a peacekeeper.

After attending St. Michael Catholic School, Marge later graduated from Prior Lake High School in 1975 amongst a great group of life-long friends. She furthered her education attending Moorhead State University. Marge led a long career utilizing her strong mathematical skills in the accounting departments of several companies.

Marge’s passion in life was being a daughter, sister and aunt to her loving family as well as a best friend to so many. Marge had a special relationship with everyone that was important to her and if you were in her circle, you knew it, but even if you only crossed her path, she still left a mark! In addition to making everyone feel special, she always kept everyone fed with all of their favorite foods.

Her talents and wonderful personality also extended into the community. Marge gave countless hours coordinating and participating in fundraisers for the people in the community. In her spare time, Marge enjoyed playing bingo, as well as coordinating, and attending Euchre tournaments. At any time, day or night, Marge was just a call away to come to your rescue. Preparing meals, transporting people to destinations, running errands or any other tasks at hand, she was always there. She was supportive, committed and a reliable family member and friend. Marge will be forever missed and remain in the hearts of her family; Father, Albert Feldman; Siblings, Joe Feldman, Mary (Greg) Schweich, Cindy (Paul) Hurley, Carol (Norm) Madson, Chuck (Sanna) Feldman; Nieces and Nephews: Sarah (Ion) Skillrud, Patrick Hurley, Goddaughter Emily (Travis) Ruths, Jamie (Phil) Fisk, Maria Schweich, Hannah Schweich (Nate Hanson), Stephanie (Joe) Hausman, Tom (Stephanie) Feldman, Aaron Hurley, Godson Joey Hurley, Alex Madson; 9 great-nieces and nephews; special friend, Brian Menk; and many relatives and devoted friends.

There to welcome Marge home is her beloved mother, Rita Feldman and infant brother, Thomas Feldman.

Visitation will be on Friday, January 12 from 3-8 pm at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Prior Lake. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, January 13th at 11:00 am also at St. Michael’s with the visitation from 9:30-10:45 am. To: The family of Marge Feldman
I am very saddened to hear about the passing away of someone I considered a dear friend, Marge Feldman. I wish to express to her family my deepest sympathy. Especially her immediate family. Marge was such a kind and caring person. I know all those who knew Marge will miss her. I know I will miss her. Seeing Marge pass away the way she did, doesn’t make it any easier for us to let her go, but let her go we must. Things Marge left undone must stay that way. We will all miss Marge’s kindly presence, her great sense of humor that unmistakable smile, but most of all we will Marge herself. Knowing Marge the way we all do
I know she would want her funeral service to be a celebration of her life and she would not want us to be sad, but it is still very hard not to be sad. She is home she is free. Marge Feldman now belongs to the ages, but we liked it better when she belonged to us. She now lives on only in our memory. She is home she is free. My thoughts and prayers are now with the entire Feldman family at this sorrowful time, as you say farewell to your beloved Marge.
With Sympathy,
GLYNN CROOKS

Condolence from Dean Davis on September 10th, 2019 8:39 am

My deepest sympathies to Mary’s family and friends. I first met Marge “Mary” when I baked their signature cheese cakes, chocolate chip cookies, flourless chocolate tortes, and other “skinny goodies for her and suster Cindy at Feldman’s Finery Gourmet Bakery in Apple Valley. I loved the family focused business working along side Momma Rita , Mary Wolf and Greg’sfrequent visits. Heaven will always have a sweet dessert, friendly smile, and unbundling kindness with her there. Blessings and peace always.

PS….. I still dazzle family and friends with Mary and Cindy’s out of this world MN Cheese Cake ..
