Lynda’s life story

Lynda D. Stang

On July 9, 1965 in Worthington, MN, Lynda Lee was born to parents Raymond G and Carol A (Erickson) Kraft. She was the fourth of five children. Lynda’s childhood years were spent in Brewster. Excelling in sports, Lynda was a talented volleyball player, as well as track & field. She graduated in 1983 from Brewster High School in Brewster, MN.

Furthering her education, Lynda attended Worthington Technical College for two years and Morehead State University for three years, where she again excelled at volleyball. Lynda graduated in 1988 with a degree in Engineering. Most of her career was spent as a quality engineer at various companies. The last 10 years Lynda was an active entrepreneur trying to develop different business. Lynda was most proud of being an owner and operator of a small business called, Yummy Bouquets. She created bouquets made of candy, which she then distributed.

Life became very precious to Lynda with the birth of her son, Tyler, born on February 21, 1997. He was her sunshine and her everything. Lynda’s life revolved around Tyler. She even worked for the Prior Lake School District, just to be closer to him. Lynda’s world became complete with meeting Terry Stang. He was the love of her life and on March 17, 2000 at the Chapel of Love, Lynda and Terry exchanged wedding vows.

As a family, they enjoyed vacations to Disneyland, the Grand Canyon and fishing and camping trips up north. Lynda loved tending to her flower garden. A love for pets, she especially treasured the special bonds with Eddie the cat and Obie the dog.

November of 2011, Lynda was diagnosed with A.L.S. – Lou Gehrig’s Disease. A strong-willed individual, she never backed down from a challenge. As the disease took over her body, it never took over Lynda’s spirit. She greeted everyone with a smile and put their needs and well-being before her own. Lynda was a passionate and loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, friend and more.

The late evening of Saturday, February 23, 2013, Lynda, age 47, passed away peacefully with her family present at the bedside of her Prior Lake home.
