Linda Stephens

A resident of Shakopee and formerly of Gilman, WI, Linda Lila Stephens was age 69, when she was called home to God, unexpectedly after a short illness on July 9, 2016.

A Time of Gathering will be held on Saturday, August 13, from 10-12 (noon) with a lunch following at Ballard-Sunder Funeral Home, 833 S. Marschall Road, Shakopee, MN.

Linda was born on May 30, 1947 in Gilman, Wi to parents Leon and Margaret ( Hartzell. She married David Stephens on January 22, 1988. Linda worked for Lake Region Manufacturing for 5 years and then 14 years for the Shakopee Food Service. She enjoyed bowling, camping, find a word puzzles and Sudoku. Her bubbly personality, smile and laugh was enjoyed by everyone she encountered.

Left to honor Linda’s life is her husband, David: daughters, Shari Jerome, Tiffany Stephens; grandchildren, Jacob Jerome, Nathan Jerome, Branden Jerome; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Jerome, Hailey Jerome, James Jerome, Christian Jerome, Carson Jerome; mother, Margaret Hartzell; siblings, Monie (John) Hurt, Ronnie (Mary) Hartzell, Lori (Jerry) Czubakowski, Shelly (Ronnie) Jerome; other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Leon Hartzell.

I’m so surprised and sorry to hear of your loss. I bowled with Linda, and was always glad when we bowled her team…or at least next to her. So much fun. She will be missed dearly! Prayers to the family as you go through this difficult time.
