Kathryn Kuka, of Prior Lake, passed away on February 25, 2017 at the age of 78. Her daughters were by her side. A gathering of family & friends will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2017 from 11:00 – 12:00 Noon at Ballard-Sunder Funeral & Cremation in Prior Lake. Kathryn will be laid to rest at Spring Lake Cemetery in Prior Lake.

Kathryn was born to parents John and Stella (Morris) Pettit on March 9, 1938. She was one of six children, and loved growing up with Ruth, Esther, Bob, Sharon, Lorraine and Betty. Kathryn always had a strong work ethic, and she was a dedicated employee of Honeywell for more than 20 years. When she wasn’t working she enjoyed league bowling and exploring new places. Her travels took her to Hawaii, Scandinavia and many other memorable places. Kathryn was a wonderful mother, loving grandma and a dear friend to many.

She will be remembered always by her daughters, Karen Jarmes and Pat Kuka; step-son, Paul Kuka; grandchildren, Brian Ott, Michael Schmidt, Anthony Varey, Gina Schmidt, Jacob Jarmes, Alicia Tate, Amanda Lex; great-grandkids, Arayah Friendshuh and Vincent Leto; other loving relatives and friends.

Kathryn is preceded by her sons, Jeff Banker and Brian Banker; parents, John & Stella Pettit; siblings, Ruth, Esther, Bob, Sharon, Lorraine and Betty.
