On August 11, 2013, parents Casey and Carrie (Jacobson) announced the birth of twin daughters, Karson and Quinn, born at Children’s Hospital, in Minneapolis, MN. From her first breathe, Karson was a fighter. She was born with a rare neurological disorder called Schizencephaly, and it caused numerous health problems throughout her short life.
Karson was bound and determined to make her mark on this world. She had many challenges, but in spite of it all, Karson had a smile that could light up a room. She loved just being a part of things. Karson enjoyed school, especially how the teachers and students went out of their way to include her and make her feel special each and every day.
Karson had an adapted bike she could go for rides on, and she loved having the wind on her face. Karson also enjoyed loud music and pontoon rides at the lake on her grandpa’s boat. Without question, Karon’s most favorite thing in the world was snuggles. She would always find a way to get someone to pick her up and sit with her to snuggle and cuddle her. Karson was a very special girl that touched so many peoples’ lives. She will be very missed.
A heartfelt thank you is extended to Karson’s PCA, Misty Nelson. For over the last seven years, she was with Karson every day, through every up and down, surgery, appointments, and activities. Misty your care, compassion and love you gave to our precious girl will always hold a special place in our hearts. You were a blessing to Karson and our family.
Forever loved, Karson will be forever missed by loving parents, Casey and Carrie; twin sister, Quinn; brother, Jacob; grandparents, Bud and Leann Jacobson, Dan and Bev Motschenbacher; many aunts and uncles, other relatives and friends.
Greeting Karson home in Heaven is her uncle, Chris Motschenbacher and great grandparents.

I remember Karson from summer school at Eagle Creek. She and I used to walk the track outside. I’d bring my phone and play Disney music and she always had her shades with.
My heart goes out to Karson and all the lives she touched. I’m so very sorry for your loss.
