June was born on October 28, 1920 in Marietta, MN. She moved with her family to Foreston, MN at 10 years of age and grew up there. She attended high school in Milaca and attended the Milaca Free Church where she accepted Jesus as her Savior as a teenager. She was baptized in Sept 1941 at Lake Emily. June attended Teacher’s Training in Princeton, Mn and taught for 1 year in a rural school in Milaca County. Then on June 10, 1941 she married Axel Pearson which took her to Stevens County where they farmed for years in the Morris and Hancock area. They were blessed with 3 children over the next 10 years: Sharon, Doug, and Beth. They also were involved in establishing the Hancock Evangelical Free Church and later the Morris Evangelical Free Church. They were active in the Gideons organization giving out Bibles to many schoolchildren and placing them in the hotels/motels in the Morris, MN area. Axel passed away in 1974 and June moved into Hancock. She worked as a secretary at the Hancock school till the age of 70. After that she worked at Riverside Express on a casual basis. She enjoyed helping others around town in any way she could. From setting hair, to washing windows, baking pies, pulling weeds or whatever they needed help with. She was also active in Hancock Free Church helping wherever she could. June loved to work and be active. In November of 2013 she moved to Prior Lake to live with her daughter and son-in-law where she resided until June 20 when she suffered a life-altering stroke. She attended and enjoyed the Wellspring Bible study group at Trinity Free Church in Lakeville for several years after moving to Prior Lake, MN. She enjoyed the fellowship there and made many friends while studying God’s word together. June’s ministry in her later years was being a prayer warrior, when physical mobility prevented her from actively helping others as she loved to do. She was truly an ‘others first’ follower of Jesus-a great example for all who knew her.
June is preceded in death by her husband Axel Pearson, parents Roy and Grace Mundy, siblings Vivian Ellenwood, Florence Pearson, Arlene Mundy, and LeRoy Mundy. She is survived by sister-in-law Lois Mundy; daughter Sharon (Ronald) Roghair, son Doug (Irma) Pearson, daughter Beth (Roger) Dosdall; grandchildren, Kayla (Ted) Boehm, Ronan (Linda) Roghair, Cheri Ory, Jackie (Paul) Meyer; Andy (Amanda) Dosdall, Angela Dosdall; great grandchildren Jessica, Emma, Zach, and Carter Boehm; Zoie and Cain Roghair; several nieces and nephews; and two special little people in her life the past 9 ½ years and 6 ½ years- Parker and Addie Sundvall.

June was such a special lady. I met her at Wellspring Bible Study. She was always smiling. She loved my homemade raspberry (no seed) rhubarb jam-so sorry I didn’t get another delivered this year. She will definitely be missed. So sorry for the loss of this sweet lady and so sorry for you as family.
Love, God’s Blessings to you, and Peace,

June was such a faithful prayer warrior and servant and yet still spunky and fun at 100+ years! Our kids were always so amazed that they know such a wonderful 101 year old! June was truly a remarkable woman. I know she was one of my mom in law (Barb) neaerst and dearest friends and such a faithful supporter of our ministry. We so wished we could have seen her when we visit US this year (after 4 yrs away) but I know she just couldnt wait any longer to be with her favorite Person ever. We love you and will miss you June…see you on the Other Side!

Beth and Family,
My deepest sympathies to each of you in the loss of your dear Mom June Pearson. What a treasure she was and will remain in your memories and in the memories of so many that she impacted over the years. Cannot say enough about the powerful manner in which she cared for family and friends with her prayer ministry. Doesn’t seem quite right to have a world without Aunt June. What a joy that she can now experience the joys of Heaven and being reunited with so many who have gone before. Will pray God’s blessings and grace for each of you as family in June’s exit from this earth to be with her Savior in Heaven!
Love,
Gordie & Sherrill Pearson
