Condolence from Sandi Carlton on December 3rd, 2021 5:35 pm

Boy Johnny, it’s hard to believe all the laughs we shared whether at work or in our adjoining driveways. We could sure yuck it up with very little outside provocation. We had a good neighborhood.
I know Julia was your pride and joy. She will continue to be that for you as I know you’ll now be her guardian angel. You will never be far from her heart.
I wish your family peace, good memories, as well as love. I wish for you a heaven with sports, good music, beaches, drinks with little umbrellas, friends and family who have gone before you and lots of time to have a laugh.

Condolence from Vicky Kasten on December 4th, 2021 11:19 am

To the family of Johnny Olson, I only knew of Johnny through my son Mitch who enjoyed his company at the gym and going out for sushi together. My son expressed to me his sadness about Johnny’s passing and how much he enjoyed his company. The last time my son saw Johnny in person, Johnny was so excited to be pre-approved for a mortgage so he could start looking for a home in Florida. They also were making plans to get sushi together again soon. So from my son and myself, our hearts go out to you.

Condolence from Mitch Kasten on December 5th, 2021 6:59 pm

My condolences to the Olson Family. I met Johnny at the gym, he was warm, welcoming and hilarious. We quickly became friends, shared laughs and enjoyed getting sushi together especially the flying fish egg salad. I enjoyed seeing him almost every day around that 3:30 pm time and if I missed him at the gym I would honk when I saw him walking. Johnny expressed his love, commitment to his pride and joy his daughter Julia. Johnny you are missed and I value the positive impact you made on my life .

Johnny was not just my best friends father, he was my second dad, travel buddy, and mood booster. Once I became close to Julia in freshman year she said “it’s time to meet my dad”. Not only was Johnny a hilarious man but he always protected Julia and I. Johnnys love for Julia was unconditional. The nights we spent at his house during summer, dinners, four trips to Florida, and just Johnnys company are a few things i will never forget. I pray for Julia and her family every night since the loss that I still can’t comprehend. Johnny and Julia have made such an impact on my life and I cannot express how much I thank and love them both. Fly high “Dad”

I have such great fond memories of being with Johnny on and off the ice. It was nearly impossible to be around Johnny and not be left smiling. I have fond memories of he and I and our parents going to Winnipeg Canada to play hockey for a couple of summers. My heartfelt condolences to his family.
