Condolence from Kim & Tim Ristau on November 25th, 2020 9:48 pm

It has been an honor to be your neighbor! We have learned so much about the habitat of monarch butterflies & honey bees. We reveled in your excitement. We loved watching you prepare your land in preparation of your orchard. You carefully planned out each and every step to the tee! Measuring the circumference and depth, etc. Your mind was always at work! A perfectionist! Tim & I will miss you out in the back yard. We will miss your smile & your kindness.

Condolence from Kevin Pikkaraine – LOGIS on November 30th, 2020 10:03 am

Dear Janet and family,
The news of Jack’s passing was a blow to all of us at LOGIS.
I had the pleasure of Jack working for me and LOGIS for 11 years, during this time he built a very strong and successful Infrastructure group at LOGIS, established a highly redundant network environment for LOGIS and our members and expanded fiber optic network throughout a large part of the metro cities. His technical abilities helped make LOGIS what we are today. All these accomplishments are no surprise to anyone that knew him.

What was really remarkable about Jack was how he took a personal interest in everyone, helping to develop, mentor and support individuals with the goal of making them successful in life, and as you can imagine in turn became a dear friend to me and so many of us. Jack was taken way from all of us to soon but to quote Neil Peart, the measure of a life is a measure of love and respect, and truly, this quote fit Jack perfectly.

Our prayers are with all of you, Kevin and the entire LOGIS staff.

Condolence from Clint Pires on December 14th, 2020 4:14 pm

To Janet, family, and friends…

I am so sad to learn of Jack’s passing. Please accept my condolences for your, and our, loss. I knew Jack well for his entire time at LOGIS and worked together closely on so many projects throughout his time there. Jack brought incredible talent and experience to his work. He was always able to find solutions and I personally learned so much from him over time. Even more than a colleague, I valued Jack as a friend, as someone I could confide in, someone I could always call on, and trust. Jack and I were the same age. That was always part of our bond, having experienced this world over the same arc of time. I will miss that. I was and always will be amazed at how much Jack contributed to this world in his time here. He shared himself so completely, even during times he struggled. He shared his joy and laughter, and his caring. Jack will live on differently for each of us. But he will live on.

I wish you all peace, comfort, and loving memories to sustain you and carry on as Jack would want.

Clint Pires, Chief Information Officer, City of St. Louis Park
