George’s life story

George Michael St. Martin

George was born on July 20, 1950 to parents George (Cub) and Minnie St. Martin. He was the 2nd of 7 children and was a long time resident of both Savage and Prior Lake.

George was employed by Lieberman’s, Allen’s Towing Service and was a volunteer Savage Fire Fighter for 17 years. After retirement George was employed at TJ Hooligan’s where he met the love of his life, Darla. They were married for 8 years at the time of his death.

His family and friends will remember his kind and loving spirit and his love for watching sports, playing cards and taking family trips.

George passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2014 after a long battle with heart disease. He was surrounded by his loving family who will miss him deeply.

Survived by wife, Darla; daughter, Maija; his children, Keith (Wendy), Chad (Alyssa), Chris (Carissa), Katie (Thad); stepson, Tony (Sharla); grandchildren, Nate, Halle, Carter and Zac; siblings, Jackie, Diane (Denny), Danny, Anna (Kevin), Wayne (Sherry) and Kathy; favorite pets, Petie, Izzy and sweet Rosie; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Preceded in death by his parents and nephew, Alan Frechette.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, March 2, 2014 at TJ Hooligan’s from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. with a celebration of life service at 4:30 p.m.
