Gene was loved by all who knew him, he will be missed by all. What a great guy he was, although I only was privileged to see him when he visited Ohio, he very much impressed me as a kind heart person with a great compassion for others. I am so sorry he left us at such a young age and pray for his family’s peace of mind in the days to come without this loving man. My heart, love and hugs go out to his family, as it is hard when we lose our loved ones, especially when they are young.

Mel and I were so sorry to hear of Gene’s death. We have many fond memories of Gene growing up across the street from us. Gene and the neighbor boys played a lot of ball in the street and tree golf in our yard. We will cherish those memories. Gene was a great person and we mourn your loss. Not sure you remember us but Kathy and I were so sorry to hear about Gene’s passing, just a shame. We know he put up the best of fight and try and remember he is resting peacefully now, and will watch over you and the kids. We are golfing friends of Rick and Renee’s from Dubuque IA, so we met on their deck a couple of times, and Gene went on a golf trip or two with us, what a great guy. Kathy and I will be thinking of you often and our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family. RIP Geno!!!

The Lucille Tousignant Family are so sadden to hear of Gene’s passing. I know my Mom (Lucille) will surely miss Gene very much. He was Mom’s go to guy. Gene would be so patient and thoughtful and listen to all of Mom’s questions and concerns. I met Gene when Mom was transitioning from her home to a senior living facility and selling her home. Gene would come out to the house anytime she wanted to go over “getting her eggs all in one basket”! I was so impressed with all the care and thoughtfulness with the way he treated Mom and our family.
Gene was the nicest , caring , and patient man that I have ever met . Mom had total trust in Gene. Gene and his assistant Mary Kay were so professional as well as very helpful dealing with Mom and our family ! Rest in Peace Gene …we will all miss you so very much.

When I heard about Gene’s passing, I was so incredibly stunned and saddened as he was such an incredible man and friend to Lori and I over the years. I can’t begin to tell you how sad I am to hear of Gene’s passing. What a great guy!! I don’t know of any one who had anything negative to say about him. He was such a positive person. I will cherish the memories we had coaching basketball when Nick and Connor were in like 2nd and 3rd grade. I enjoyed his company greatly. Tiffany and family – I was so shocked to hear of Gene’s passing. My husband and I worked with Gene for over 30 years – I believe when he was just starting his career. When we first started working with him, he would come out to the house to meet with us as we had two very young toddlers. Through the years, we saw him get married and grow his family. Tables turned and we then started meeting with him in his office and enjoyed catching up with him and your family. We had so much trust in Gene. I just talked to him in October about my upcoming retirement, and we had talked about getting together in December to review everything. I look back to that conversation and am truly amazed that he never let on that he was fighting his own battle. He was a wonderful human being, and we will miss him. I have been one of Gene’s financial clients for many years – I guess probably 20 years by now. Back then it was called IDS. I always enjoyed my annual visit with him and was deeply saddened when I heard the news. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

It was such shocking news about Gene that I sat down and cried. W hen he took over our accounts, he was always so helpful. Either when we saw him in the office or talked on the phone. When we traveled in the motor home or settled in SD, he was always interested in our travels. We enjoyed the Christmas cards every year, watching the kids grow up. Please accept my sincere sympathy. Through happenstance and good fortune, Gene became my financial advisor in 2004. Over the years, he became my friend. He was steady, reliable, smart, and attentive. I always looked forward to our periodic lunch meetings. One year I introduced him to Vina in Richfield, and that became our go-to place. At these meetings we would talk about many things (politics, world events, and, of course, my investments), but they always started with a discussion of our families, and although I never met his family, between these meetings and the annual Mullins Christmas card, I felt as if I knew them.
