Elsie Crespo, age 80 of Minneapolis, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2016 at Minnehaha Senior Assisted Living. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11AM on Thursday, April 28, 2016 with a visitation beginning one-hour prior all at St. Michael Catholic Church, 16311 Duluth Ave SE, Prior Lake.

She was my Spanish and bookkeeping teacher at Patrick Henry High school. I really liked her a lot .She was a very nice person and seemed to genuinely care about her students.
Sra. Crespo was my Spanish teacher at Patrick Henry High School from 1988-1991. She was my favorite! She inspired within me a love for Hispanic people and their culture. She gave me a foundation in the Spanish language that has stuck with me to this day. I’ve been on multiple missions trips to Hispanic countries. I used my Spanish regularly working as a nurse in the ER for 20 years, and now I have an adopted son from Colombia and am able to communicate with him because of the investment Sra. Crespo made in me as a high school student. I loved her so much! Thank you so much, Sra. Crespo! I’ll be forever grateful for the gift you gave me! Thanks for being willing to teach in a difficult school and to love on the kids entrusted to your care!
I loved her I always wondered about her prolly over the last 10yrs she was AWSOME !!!patrick Henry 88-91

Our family loved Elsie. From subbing for our son’s Spanish class to playing cards with Elsie. She was funny and warm. I will always miss her spark, her smile and wise words.
