Edward R. Lebens, lifelong resident of Shakopee, MN passed away peacefully at the age of 81 on Monday, May 17, 2021, at St. Francis Regional Medical Center, in Shakopee, MN.
A graveside service honoring Ed will be held on Friday, May 21, at 10 am, at the Shakopee Catholic Cemetery, 803 Tenth Avenue West, Shakopee. Deacon Jim Pufahl will lead the prayers and military honors will be provided by the Shakopee Veterans Honor Guard.
Edward was born on October 28, 1939, in Shakopee, MN, to Harry and Violet (Zeman) Lebens. Following high school, he enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served for two years. After his honorable discharge, Edward returned to Shakopee and entered the workforce.
Edward is survived by brothers, Ernie Lebens, Al (Gerty) Lebens; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Preceded in death by parents; sister, Kathy Hamilton; brother, Jim Lebens; infant brother, Dick Lebens; and sister-in-law, Karen Lebens.

Uncle Ernie and Dad,
I’m so sorry to hear of the loss of your brother Ed.
Losing a brother must break your hearts. You know him better than anybody – the good, the bad, the most meaningful childhood memories all paint a picture of who he was to you.
I recall his big smile and happy countenance and will not forget that. He was always so kind-hearted to me and quick to connect in how I was doing. He will be missed. ♥️
My deepest sympathy to all the family. I was lucky enough to work with this dear gentleman at Nordic Ware. I will always have fond memories of Ed.
Ed’s Family. I am so sorry to hear of Ed’s passing. I will miss him through all of the good times and bad. Thinking about all of you, my condolences.

Family of Ed
Ed will surely be missed by all of us at Cub Foods. He was such a bright spot in any day when he came shopping. He always had a warm, friendly greeting for everyone and a bright smile. The world is a little sadder without him. Jayne ..Shakopee Cub
