Dorothy C. Brandt, age 89, of Prior Lake, MN, entered eternal life on Saturday, January 23, 2021, at the Village of Lonsdale.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 5, at 11 am, with a time of gathering starting at 9:30 am, at St. Michael Catholic Church, 16400 Duluth Avenue SE, Prior Lake, MN. Guests may join by live streaming by visiting stmichael-pl.org and clicking on the live stream tab. Masks are required and social distancing will be maintained. Father Tom Walker will preside. Urn bearers will be her grandsons, Jake Brantl, Dave Brandt Jr, and Bryan Thompson. She will be laid to rest at St. Michael Catholic Cemetery.
Gracing this world on October 16, 1931, in Le Sueur, MN, Dorothy Catherine was born to Clem and Mary Ann (Tarpy) Bisch. She spent most of her time being mother to five children and later a grandma and great grandma. As a career, Dorothy worked hard as a waitress. She enjoyed gardening and playing cards and dice. Dorothy loved taking her chance at the casino and especially playing Bingo. She also loved vacationing with her sisters and nieces to see the U.S. Dorothy was most content spending time with family and loved to go out to eat with friends.
Dorothy is survived by daughter, Denise (Charlie) Brantl; sons, Brad (Connie) Brandt, Doug (Rita) Brandt, Keith Brandt, Dave Brandt; grandchildren, Stacy (Josh) Nordaune, Teresa (Ryan) Grebner, Jake (Amanda) Brantl, Bryan(Kelsey) Thompson, Carly Bohannon, Gina Brandt, Lucy Brandt, Tara Brandt, Ashlea (James) Marzella, Dave (Amanda) Brandt Jr., Shelbea Brandt, Brooke Pronk, William Brandt: great grandchildren, Tori Krejce, Courtnea Krejce, Bryce Grebner, Kyleigh Grebner, Tyler Grebner, Carsyn Grebner, Whitney Grebner, Lyncoln Grebner, Owen Brantl, Colsen Brantl, Bradley Thompson, Nick Thompson, Corey Thompson, Piper Bohannon, Presly Marzella, Sailor Marzella, Miles Marzella, Keaton Brandt, Mason Brandt, Landon Pronk, Evelyn Brandt, Payton Brandt; brother-in-law, Howard Seitzer; other relatives and friends.

I was interested to read the obituary for Dorothy Brandt, my last name is Brandt. Some years ago I put together a book The Descendants of Michael Bisch and Margaret Bruck. I was looking at the book in the last year and saw where Dorothy was a Bisch. My wife’s mother, Agnes Fox’s mother, was a cousin to Dorothy.
