Don Carlson, of Prior Lake (formerly of Fridley), passed away peacefully on May 28, 2020 at the age of 88. He was a good man and will be missed by all who loved him.

Donald Alden Carlson was born to parents George & Miranda Carlson on September 9, 1931. After graduating from high school, Don married the love of his life, Jeana Farrell. Don was drafted into the Army. He proudly served his country overseas during the Korean conflict. After being honorably discharged, Don & Jeana settled in Fridley to raise their children. Don worked hard and loved being a plant manager. He enjoyed tinkering with things and working in his yard. He was a long-time member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Fridley. Don was quiet and thrifty, and he enjoyed the simple things in life. Don was a man of strong character who loved his family and the Lord.

Don is survived by his children, Diane (Gregg Clair) Meysembourg & Gary (Sue) Carlson; granddaughters, Alisa (Steve), Jennifer (Jason), Michelle (Ryan) & Kalley; great-grandkids, Eva, Gabe & Jude; siblings, Gerald (Betty) Carlson & Ardis Oaks.

He was greeted in Heaven by his beloved wife, Jeana; his parents & siblings.

Oh my, what a wonderful man Donny was. Jeana was so lucky to have him, as he was to have her. When her health turned south, he was there to care for her. What a Love story!! They truly were friends that everyone would love to have.
