Diego Estevan Montiforte, age 35, of St. Paul, MN, passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2022. He was born on February 17, 1987, in Minneapolis, MN, to Michael F. Jr and Julia (Perez) Montiforte.
A celebration of life gathering will be held on November 30, 2022 from 4:00PM-6:30PM, honoring his life at Ballard-Sunder Funeral & Cremation, 104 West First Street, Jordan, MN.
Diego was free spirited and had such an eclectic love for music. His love for music became such a passion, that he taught himself how to proficiently play the guitar at a young age. Any musical opportunity that crossed his path was met with his ability to hit notes and get lost in the music. Not only was Diego loyal, but he was also accepting of all individuals, finding happiness in getting to know you. His ability to easily forgive and always see the best in someone was one of his many positive attributes and a testament to his character.
Diego is survived by son, Kieran; siblings, Michael F. (Tyra) Montiforte III, Natalia C. Montiforte, Bianca T. Montiforte, Lydia F. (Carl) Montiforte – Chapman; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. He is welcomed home in Heaven by his parents.

Michael, Natalia, Bianca, & Lydia,
It’s hard to imagine having to let go of a sibling so early in life! I’m sorry for your loss and am praying you somehow find peace I only knew Diego for a few years, but in the time we spent together he spoke of you four often and that always struck me ❤️ Siblings are special and I’m glad you have each other.
Diego was a bright spot in an often dark place, and he was a true friend. I miss him so much already! It’s like I’m grieving the loss of meaning and beauty that would have come from many more years with Diego in my life
