Daniel Braunsky

Daniel Frederick Braunsky, 72, of Burnsville, Minnesota, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Saturday, July 7, 2018. Born April 30, 1946 to Richard and Mary (Cavosi) Braunsky in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Dan was the third of four children. He loved to share stories of his time growing up on the family farm with his parents, brothers, and sister. On November 20, 1965 he married the love of his life, Marcia June (Petersen) Braunsky in Sussex, Wisconsin. Together they shared 52 years full of love, laughter, and many blessings. Of all life’s blessings, those he held closest to his heart were his three beautiful daughters, Stephanie, Sherri, and Suzette, 6 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. Over the course of 40 years, Dan contributed much to the plastics industry as a plant manager and engineer and many of the facilities he helped commission are still successfully operating today. An avid fisherman and craftsman, Danny spent many hours on a boat and in the woodshop creating memories that will be cherished by sons-in-law, grandchildren, daughters, friends, and many more for years to come. Dan’s love for life and distinct laugh could brighten anyone’s day and his ability to make each family member and friend feel so special is something that will be missed most.

Preceded in death by parents, Richard and Mary (Cavosi) Braunsky; brother, Richard Braunsky, and sister, Mary Ann Garrison. Survived by wife of 52 years, Marcia (Petersen) Braunsky; daughters, Stephanie (John) Lloyd, Sherri (Pat) Stoltzman, Suzette (Charlie) Minich; grandchildren, Amanda (Josh) Barke, Allie (Tony) Trulen, Daniel Colangelo, Joshua Colangelo, Jessica Colangelo, Ethan Minich; great-grandchildren, Henry Barke, Vera Barke, Josie Barke; brother, Ronald (Linda) Braunsky; sister-in-law, Beverly Braunsky.

    To Marci and family,
I am so sorry to hear of Dans passing. Just know you and your family are in my prayers. A memory I have of Dan was when Sherri and I were in high school and we got home one night at our curfew time. But then we snuck out and got home about 5:00 am. Right when we were just about to sleep, right outside Sherri’s window, Dan starts up the chainsaw! Then he got us up and we had to help him! We thought we got away with it but Dan was waiting for us.
    Gods Blessings to you all
