On November 8, 1964 in Minneapolis Dana Dallas Sibbet was welcomed into the world by mother Ramona Helmer Sibbet and father Donald Harlow Sibbet. Dana was the youngest of four boys.
Dana’s formative years were in New Prague, MN where he graduated from New Prague High School in 1983. During his senior year of high school, he met his future wife Peg Lang. After high school he began college part time at Normandale in Bloomington, while working full time in the early stages of the family business, RaDon Inc.
Dana and Peg were married in 1989 and welcomed Evan Mitchell Sibbet in 1998. Evan was Dana’s pride and joy. Dana and Peg split in 2019, but remained friends and business partners.
Dana enjoyed watching all of Evan’s sporting events. Dana had a passion for motorsports and raced both motor-cross and sno-cross for many years. His years of racing snowmobiles were some of his happiest years. He loved to watch auto racing, was an avid Vikings fan, and enjoyed ice fishing on Prior Lake. One of his most cherished life-time achievements was being awarded the United Professional Horsemen’s Association Sallie B. Wheeler Distinguished Service Award in 2006.
Dana’s life work for 40 years was devoted to creating premier custom show horse apparel, stall draperies, tack containers, and accessories for the Saddlebred, Morgan, Arabian, and Draft Horse markets. In 2015 Dana sold his ownership stake in RaDon Inc, and exited the family business to start his own business under the Appointments USA brand. Under Dana’s leadership, Appointments USA has evolved into a major force in the show horse industry with his signature product being the Wardrobe Valet. He considered his team at the company his family, including Paul, Phil, Linda, Carole, DeDe, Maria, Blanca, Carmen, & Kassie along with Evan, and Peg. He deeply enjoyed cultivating unique relationships with his customers across the country and making sure they knew he would keep his promises to them. He loved his customers, many of whom he knew for 40 years, and his customers loved him for his kindness and generosity to their businesses and the show horse industry.
In 2015 Evan helped Dana prepare the new shop for Appointments USA and worked in the business during high school and college. He later joined his father full time in April 2022 to begin the company transition to the third generation. Dana’s legacy will live on with Evan. He was so proud knowing his son would continue what he started.
Dana is survived by his son, Evan Sibbet; former wife, Margaret (Peg) Lang; lifelong friend and companion, Cary Bartz; former in laws, Jim & Carole Lang and the entire Lang family; his Appointments USA family; his brothers, Darrel, Don, and Duane; and many other family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Ramona (Helmer) Sibbet Whipps; and nephew, Shawn.

Sending my sincere condolences on the loss of Dana. He was a friend to me and I will miss our too infrequent phone calls to “catch up” that would last at least an hour or two each time. He was a bright light in my life when I exited the horse world and I’ll miss his voice and kind words. Praying for you guys.

Evan and Peg, my deepest condolences. I was heartbroken to hear this news.
Dana was a very dear friend and I’m going to miss him so much.
He brought light and laughter with him, and enthusiasm for excellence. As rightfully proud of all his accomplishments at RaDon and Appointments USA, he was most proud of you, Evan.

It is a terrible loss to loose anyone, but Dana was taken way too soon, way too young. My relationship with RaDon and the Sibbet Family began in 1973, with my first blanket. At that early time it seems because the way the Sibbet Family operated, anyone was welcomed into their family once they were a client. I remember one UPHA Convention when the Star Trek uniform of William Shatner was being auctioned as a fund raiser. I had to help Dana put on Shatner’s outfit….it was an unusual way of getting it all put together on him….one of the fun times with Dana. I never saw him that he didn’t have a smile or a cheerful voice. My heart in whole goes out to the entire family. One of the “sisters”, Jackie

Dana was one of the warmest, funniest, most caring people that I have ever known. Dana would go out of his way to help his friends and in any way and did it with a smile. All of us will miss him terribly and I will miss his phone calls and his contagious laugh and upbeat attitude. I never got to meet Evan or Peg but feel like I have known them for years the way that Dana spoke of them so highly, he loved Evan so much and was so proud, I heard about all of his sporting events and achievements. Rest in peace dear friend and thank you for enriching all of our lives and making us inspire to be better people. You will never be forgotten.
