Condolence from Gerald J. Meyer on July 17th, 2016 12:01 pm

Dear Cousin Dale, Rest in peace and know that you are missed by many in the community. Proud to call you my first cousin and I will miss seeing you at Kingsway in Belle Plaine and all the happy times we have had in the past at Saturday morning breakfasts at Annie’s Cafe. Your story telling skills of hunting, fishing, etc. entertained us over the course of our time at the high breakfast table.

My best to your family.
As always, Gerald J. Meyer

Our sympathy to Dale’s family. I grew up with Dale. we went to grade school, Sunday School, confirmation and we were confirmed together. He was the only boy. There was a group of us that just hung out together. After all, we lived in town and could walk the streets day and night. He is one of my childhood friends which includes many memories. May God and your memories give you strength.

I was privileged to know Dale late in his lifetime and he was a friendly good-hearted soul. My prayers are with his family. Remember, the wise counsel: “Do not stand by my grave and weep. I am not there, I do not sleep.”. Godspeed old friend!
