Cara Cardinal Lardy, passed away on July 24, 2022, at her home in Prior Lake, MN.
A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Michael Catholic Church, with Father Tom Walker presiding. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life on Friday, August 5, from 4-8 pm, at the Chart House, 11287 Klamath Trail, Lakeville, MN.

Cara was born on August 31, 1962, in Minneapolis, MN, to Charles Albert and Carole Ann (Bakko) Cardinal. Raised also in Minneapolis, she attended Roosevelt High School. Cara married David Michael Lardy on September 17, 1983, and they were blessed with two children, Anna and Ben.
Cara was a loving, kind and caring daughter, wife, mother, Gamma, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. She loved being each and all of these, bringing her own spirit and flair to connect with and care for others. Always friendly and engaging, eager to strike up a conversation to learn or teach something new.
Loved hosting, celebrating, mixing, creating, cooking, drinking (cider and cocoa too), adding her own twist, focusing on each detail so that people would enjoy. A brilliant smile, a squeezing hug, an amazing person. In loving memory.
Forever loved by husband, David M. “Davey” Lardy; children, Anna (Pat) Abbe, Ben (Kelli) Lardy; grandchildren, Etta, Oscar, Edith, Jethro; siblings, Jeff (Sheryl) Cardinal, Teresa (Dave) Gangelhoff, Laura (Tim) Marker, Lisa Cardinal & John; nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Carole.
