Nick and Katie,
We are still reeling from the news that your dad passed away. Although Will and I have not done a good job of staying in touch with you very well for the last several years, know that we are thinking of you and want to be helpful in anyway we can. Ace was a good man, so sorry to hear this news.
Sadly,
JoAnn Cragoe

Kathy and I are very sorry to hear about Ace’s passing. So many memories of the years we were in school together. This was far too soon.

Dear Katie
I’m sorry for your loss, especially an unexpected one. I’ve spent the last 6 years as a hospice physician though we try to prepare for this it’s never real until it is. I miss our days of chatting in English class, seems just like yesterday. It’s times like these we reflect on our own life and how we’ve lived it. Appreciate those around us. I’m sorry I connected this way.

Thanks, Jim Yarusso, It means a lot to hear from you. We did have good times talking in high school, didn’t we? Your life story is a great one–I’m so glad your abilities got nurtured and rewarded. You were often in trouble for clowning around in high school, but it was always clear you had a great heart.
Yes, the loss of Ace leaves a hole for many. He was a sweet, sweet man. Cancer is a bitch, esophageal in his case, a 5 year course with a lot of difficulty along the way.
Be well, my friend. Hope to see you sometime.
