Yvonne (Bonnie) Mather, age 84 of Shakopee, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 26, 2018. A Time of Gathering will be Thursday, May 31, 2018 from 4-7PM at Ballard-Sunder Funeral & Cremation, 833 S. Marschall Rd., Shakopee. A Celebration of Life Service will be Friday, June 1, 2018 at 11AM with a visitation 1-hour prior all at Ballard-Sunder Funeral & Cremation, Shakopee. Bonnie will be laid to rest at Shakopee Catholic Cemetery. Her grandchildren will act as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred in memory of Bonnie and will be distributed to her favorite charities.
In Chaska, MN, on April 13, 1934, parents Clarence and Lillian (Paschke) Ohnsorg celebrated the birth of their daughter, Yvonne Vera Ohnsorg. In her adulthood, Bonnie worked as a nurse’s aid for many years.
On March 29, 1952 Bonnie married LeRoy “Lee” Mather in Two Rivers, Wisconsin. This union was blessed with four wonderful children. Eventually, Bonnie proudly claimed the title of grandmother and great-grandmother. Bonnie loved life and lived it to the fullest. In March of 2018, she was diagnosed with stage IV colon, liver and lung cancer. After two months with this illness, Bonnie went home to be with the Lord. Her family was by her side every step along the way.
She is survived by children, Steve (Heidi) Mather, Gwen (Gary) Solseth, Tim (Kira Bulavina) Mather and Pam (Brian) Sunder; grandchildren, Sonja, Erik, Sara, Sam, Erin, Aubrie, Kelly, and Alec; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Kenneth and Clarence; brother-in-law, Pete;sisters-in-law Lorraine, Arlene, Katie, Judy and Mary Ann; special friend, Rob; countless other relatives and friends.
Bonnie is greeted in Heaven by her husband of 57 years, LeRoy; parents, Butch (Lillian) Ohnsorg and Edna Poppitz; siblings, Reginald, Caverence, and Geraldine.

My deepest sympathy to Pam and Tim and your entire family for the loss of your mother Bonnie. I got to know Bonnie as a neighbor to my mom, Alice Kelzer. She was a pretty lady with a beautiful smile.
Please know you are all in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.
